Spring 2013 brought new preparations for the Community and Educational Garden. In March, Hoffman's Produce started growing over 450 perennials that would later be planted in our flower beds. The Creekside Garden Crew started incubating over 300 produce plants in preparation for the garden. During the month of April, cucumbers, melons and carrots were planted. RRTTC employees also spent time fencing in the garden area, constructing raised beds and assembling the community picnic table.
Creekside offered a 4 week class through Lifelong University that included gardening, lectures on nutrition and sustainability, and cooking.
