Refill not Landfill

The RRTTC, in conjunction with the UNI Office of Sustainability, Americore and NISG is starting a month long campaign through November to promote all the benefits of refilling your water bottle each day.

Getting enough water to drink every day helps keep energy levels up and with over 65 refill stations located across the UNI campus it is an easy thing to do. UNI is a leader in sustainable habits and by refiling your water bottle; we can help keep over 40 billion plastic bottles from going in the landfill each year.  REFILL counts were taken across campus Nov 1st with the grand total of 2,569345 water bottles being filled since Fall of 2015. Counts will be taken again at the end of the month to see how many refills occurred.  We're excited to see what difference this makes across campus!
